Northwest Mountain Champ
2010 Black Colt.
Champ is shown above a few minutes after he arrived. Within 30 minutes, he was up on his feet and searching for food.

After three days in the stall he was happy to get out in the pasture with Mom.
At three weeks old, Champ had grown a lot but still liked to be close to Mom.
By three months, Champ's baby fur had faded to a light brown but his true black color was starting to show through on his face and a few other spots.
By four months most of the baby fur had gone and Champ was showing his true color. His halter training was well underway and he was learning to be obedient.

Champ was weaned at six months old. By then his baby fur was gone and he was starting to grow his first winter coat.

By the time he was a yearling, Champ was starting to look a lot like his champion sire, Grace Acres' Jericho.
