Maggie is a 1998 dark chocolate/flaxen mare by Magnum. In the summer, she has lots of dapples but her winter coat is very dark. She has a very sweet personality and a smooth gait. She is saddle trained and certified by RMHA but has spent most of her life as a brood mare. She is seen below with her 2006 foal, Northwest Mountain Chocolate. He has full brother, Northwest Toby's Midnight, who was born one year later. You will find more pictures of both of these horses on our Geldings page.

Maggie was bred to our champion black stallion, Grace Acres' Jericho, in 2007, 2008 and 2009. These breedings gave us two colts and a filly. The little chocolate filly was born on April 2, 2008. This cutie has been sold and now lives in Alberta, Canada. On March 31 2009 Maggie had a chocolate colt and a black colt, was born on April 19, 2010. You will find pictures of Maggie's latest two babies on our geldings page.
Maggie has not been bred since 2009 and we do not plan to breed her again.
In early 2011, we started retraining her as a saddle horse, as she had not been ridden for several years. After a few weeks of retraining in the arena, we took Maggie out on the trails and we were amazed at how well she did.
